Message from the President

As part of the formation of the Innovation Institute in 2011, Tech Knowledge Associates (TKA) was established to provide high-quality medical device services and substantial economic savings for our clients.

TKA’s founding vision is based in a deep reverence for the mission of healthcare. The company seeks to remove equipment-related burdens inherent in the work life of clinicians, to allow them greater focus on direct patient care. This approach motivates TKA to look beyond the historical role of medical equipment service providers, bringing new ideas and services to the industry.

The Innovation Institute and its Enterprise Development Group companies – of which Tech Knowledge Associates is one - are owned by six, non-profit health systems. This heritage ensures that TKA is focused on meeting critical, equipment-related challenges in health care delivery.

Our company is not driven by what is important to venture capitalists or hedge fund managers, but rather the Key Performance Indicators of our client health systems. The development of our expanded range of medical equipment services is an outgrowth of our desire to meet the needs of our owner members and other healthcare providers where they exist, in support of their healthcare missions.

Healthcare technology is an ever-changing industry, and there are significant challenges on the horizon. Concerns such as the decreased availability of qualified biomedical technicians, cybersecurity threats, and the necessity to maintain equipment far past its normal end of life keep medical equipment sourcing and services professionals up at night. TKA has proven solutions that will meet these current challenges, while we work with our clients to proactively develop new solutions.
